Old Fashioned Pound Cake

- 1½ cups shortening
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2¾ cups sugar
- 3 cups cake flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablepoon vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350º F.
- In a stand mixer, cream sugar and shortening - scraping the bowl occasionally.
- Add eggs, one at a time.
- Slowly add dry ingredients alternating with milk.
- Add vanilla then pour mixture into a greased bundt pan.
- Bake for 1½ hours at 350º F.
