Old Fashioned Pound Cake

Ingredients
  • 1½ cups shortening
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2¾ cups sugar
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablepoon vanilla
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350º F.
  2. In a stand mixer, cream sugar and shortening - scraping the bowl occasionally.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time.
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients alternating with milk.
  5. Add vanilla then pour mixture into a greased bundt pan.
  6. Bake for 1½ hours at 350º F.
